Leader And Leadership Development Samples †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Leader And Leadership Development. Answer: Everyone wants to be a leader in one way or another. In five to ten years, I will be a leader managing a well-recognized auditing firm in this country. This will involve managing the team I will be working with because auditing tasks are performed by groups to effectively examine client issues well. This means that I will find myself in different situations that will require the use of leadership skills to tackle them (Daft, 2014). The situations include solving conflicts in my team effectively, motivating my team members, communicating the team goals to the team and even use authority to give directions and instructions that are best for the team and the whole firm because sometimes it is good to use the authority. My followers will describe me as a person who develops strategic goals for the team and effectively communicates the goals to the team. They will also describe me as a leader who uses innovative ways to ensure that different tasks are accomplished and also allows team members to use their creativity to accomplish tasks. The followers will describe me as a person who leads by example and listens to ideas and opinions of other people and gives advice where necessary. My leadership strength includes good communication skills which will help me to communicate well with the team and the firm when giving instructions for accomplishing different tasks. The other strength is that I am creative and innovative. This attribute will enable me to search for new solutions for different tasks and this will help in solving different complex client problems (Day, et al.2014). The other leadership strength is personal charisma. This attribute will help me to inspire the team and motivate the firm all the time. This will ensure that the firm has the needed energy that will help the firm to accomplish the set goals and objectives. The motivation will help in employee retention, and that staff will be more committed to the auditing firms objectives. To become an effective leader, some leadership attributes need further development so that one can lead his followers well. The attributes requiring further development include building relationships. This will involve being issues affecting employees and showing concern. This makes employees feel more valued and become high performers and helps the organization achieve its goals (Zaccaro, Kemp, Bader, 2004). A good relationship with employees can also affect the results of the organization because the staff may fail to meet deadlines. This will affect the operations of the team and the firm as a whole, and that is the reason I need to develop this attribute so that I can be able to balance between showing concern and getting tasks accomplished. The other attribute to be developed include driving for results. Important objectives for my leadership development include taking my strategic thinking to a higher level. Achieving this objective will enable me to formulate strategic plans that will enable me to grow the auditing firm (Rock, 2014). The other objective will be to improve my time management. This will help me to stop wasting valuable time and focus my energy on valuable activities that will help the team. References Daft, R. L. (2014). The leadership experience. Cengage Learning. Day, D.
